Charlotte Baron (she/her)

Charlotte F. Baron was reared on a wheat farm and educated in a small rural Kansas town. She earned her BS and MPA degrees from the University of Colorado. Following a brief career as a medical technologist working for the federal government in Washington, D.C., at Walter Reed Hospital and in the Pentagon, she returned to Colorado where she joined Fulcrum Publishing in 1985 and became VP of finance and administration. Charlotte authored The Widow’s Handbook and has served as a director for several library and educational nonprofit organizations, with a long tenure at the Tesoro Cultural Center. Her passion for nature and wildlife led her to serve as chair of the Wild Foundation where she visited 65 countries around the world. Her greatest adventure was living in Afghanistan from 1968 to 1970—a fascinating and wonderful experience.
