Colorado waited for years for major league baseball and when it came in 1993, it was magic. Record crowds flocked to Mile High Stadium and the Colorado Rockies served up a great summertime experience. In the midst of that panorama of the Cubs, the Braves, the Dodgers, and the rest of the visiting National League clubs, stars like Andres Galarraga, Dante Bichette and Charlie Hayes began to emerge as the Rockies formed their compentitive personality. It was a uniquely mountain west addition to major league baseball.
