Bob Budd, author of Otters Dance: A Rancher's Journey to Enlightenment and Stewardship, has worked on the development of new management plans for sage grouse in Wyoming. Budd serves as the executive director of the Wyoming Wildlife and Natural Resource Trust Board. He and others are fighting to revise the greater sage grouse core area map to better protect the species. While it hasn't been easy, proposed revisions will help to ensure that sage grouse habitat and energy development in the state coexist.
